"How to Zoom" Session 2
Topic:"How to Zoom" Session 2 - For those of you that missed the session week, here's another opportunity!
Time: Tuesday, April 7, 2020 11:30 AM Central Time (US and Canada)
While anyone can join a Zoom meeting by phone, the real value is being able to talk face-to-face, watch a PowerPoint presentation, or see the presenter’s shared screen. If you have never before used Zoom, here are a few things you need to do before Tuesday's presentation.
This workshop will be best if you watch the video. So, make sure you have a computer that is connected to the Internet to view the presentation.- If you want to be seen by video, confirm you have a webcam – either built into your laptop or an external cam you have plugged in and installed.
- You will be able to hear the presenter’s audio if you use your computer speakers or call in by phone. However, if you want to be able to speak to the presenter, you need a laptop with a microphone and/or a webcam with a built in microphone. It is not necessary for you to be able to talk to the presenter. You will be learning how to use the chat function, and questions to the presenter will be asked via the chat function.
- You will need to download the Zoom app to your computer or phone.
- We will email you the link to join on Friday. In the meantime, you can join a test meeting to test your setup. We encourage you to do this if you have never used Zoom.
To join Tuesday’s meeting, just to click the link we email you on Friday & log on about five minutes prior to the start. This will give you plenty of time to make sure everything is working on your end prior to the presentation beginning.
See you soon on Zoom...
