Boy Scouts of America Honors St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell Metairie, LA – October 7, 2020
The Boy Scouts of America, Southeast Louisiana Council today announced St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell as the 2020 Golden Eagle Award Recipient for their annual Scouting Breakfast on November 19th at Cypress Lakes Country Club in Destrehan. The Golden Eagle Scouting Breakfast raises essential funding to support the Boy Scouts in St. Charles and St. John Parishes. “The Boy Scouts of America is proud to recognize noteworthy and extraordinary leadership of individuals with the Golden Eagle Award.” Said Matt Miller Assoc. Development Director for the Southeast Louisiana Council. “The individuals who receive this award serve to inspire our youth to lead, accept responsibility, and care about principles and causes beyond self-interest. Honoring Golden Eagles in our community delivers a message that character counts and puts into place guideposts to lead young men and women into adulthood.
