Heritage Weekend
Explore Louisiana life in the 1800s at Destrehan Plantation's 1st Annual Heritage Weekend. Through music, dance, demonstrations and hands-on activities, visitors experience daily chores, simple pastimes, and significant events that forever changed Louisiana in the 19th century. The activities vary each day with performances by the Feliciana Vintage Dancers, Nkiruka African Dance and Drum Ensemble, and 1800s style music played by Reaux, Roscoe & Abadie, NO Quarter Shanty Krew, Kitchen Session, and James Linden Hogg. War of 1812 and Civil War reenactors are present each day and a Civil War battle reenactment occurs daily.Date and Time
